Log into your school eBook portal

Log into your school eBook portal. If you can't remember the link, you can find your school portal here:

โ€‹You may already be logged into your portal if you are reading this.

Download the Box of Books Reader Installation File

Locate the Download Reader section and click through to the Apple MacOS reader download page. Don't forget to make a note of your Bobby Pin; you will need it later to authorise your offline reader.

Install the Box of Books eReader

Download the .dmg installer for the offline reader. This will open up an installer pop up window titled Box of Books Reader. This installer will also appear on your desktop.

To install the offline app, drag the Box of Books Reader icon into the Applications folder. You will now be able to open the offline reader app anytime from your Applications folder or you can create a shortcut on your desktop or Dock for easier access.

Once you are done installing the offline reader, you can eject the installer. This can be done from your desktop.

Sign In to the App

When you open the app for the first time, you will be asked to sign into the reader so you can see your books. You will need your student email address and Bobby Pin (4 digit code).

Note that your Bobby Pin was emailed to you and is always available on your school eBook portal under "Personal Profile".

Download Books Offline

When you first open the eReader app, you should see the same books in your Book Box that you see on your school eBook portal. Click the "Download book" button at the bottom of a book cover to save a book for offline use.

Once the download is complete, the cover will no longer be greyed out and the book will appear under the "Downloaded" tab.

Can't see your text?

You may need to refresh your offline reader's Book Box by clicking on your name on the top right corner of the window to see newly allocated texts.

Happy reading!
